Grade 6 Mathematics — Lesson Plan
Week 7
The learners should have knowledge and understanding of: ratio and proportion; percentages, and their relationships with fractions and decimals; exponential form, including calculation using GEMDAS rules; units of volume and capacity; volumes of cubes and rectangular prisms; perimeter and area of triangles, parallelograms, trapezoids, and composite figures composed of triangles, squares, and rectangles.
By the end of the term, the learners are able to: describe and apply the concepts of ratio and proportion; relate percentages to fractions and decimals; evaluate, and perform calculations with, numbers expressed in exponential form; convert between units of volume and capacity; find the volume of cubes and rectangular prisms; find the perimeter and area of triangles, parallelograms, trapezoids, and composite figures composed of triangles, square, and rectangles.
